Leadership Objectives

Elena and the small-scale farmers of the agro-ecologic farmers association of Pantano de Arce demonstrated that despite adverse weather and altitude conditions, it was possible to grow and produce food organically contributing to protect and preserve the Paramos; one of the most critical environmental areas for the country. To take the association to a “next level” and establish its sustainability, Elena wants to improve specific leadership & technical skills and expand her knowledge and technical skills on organic production. Elena wants to develop a kind of “train the trainers” program, so she can help others in the community.
