Jazmín Rocco Predassi

Interested in ecology and environment from an early age, Jazmín has completed a MSc in Environmental Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, where she developed her knowledge on socio-environmental issues and her commitment to the fight against climate change. . She now works at the Argentinian NGO Fundación Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (FARN), where she has demonstrated considerable commitment and responsibility, especially in organising events with public and private sector representatives,preparing analysis documents on climate change policy and engaging with other CSOs to foster a national climate ambition. She was part of several G20 Civil Society events, as well as of the creation of the Climate Dialogue, a series of meetings that convene key CSOs in Argentina working on Climate. In FARN, she has continued to develop her skills on climate change mitigation, as well as gender and land use issues.

Eager to learn more about the process of international climate change negotiations, Jazmín has used the grant to fly to the UNFCCC headquarters in Bonn and attend the climate change negotiations happening there. She hopes that this invaluable first-hand experience will improve her knowledge and her international network, therefore consolidating herself as a relevant civil society stakeholder in the field of climate change advocacy on a national and international level.
