Leadership Objectives
Through her work with the Mekong Alumni Network and the Mekong Youth Assembly Leakhena has begun to establish herself as a youth leader and environmental activist in the Cambodia and the Mekong region. With support from JWH, she aims to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to take a stronger leadership position in regional campaigns to address the negative impacts of large-scale hydropower dams and to work with local communities to explore alternative development models such as eco-tourism and organic farming.
