Tell us about yourself: My name is Nzakou Tchakounte Stephane and I am working for Green Development Advocates (GDA) in Cameroon. My organisation is committed to defending the rights of local communities and protecting the environment. I have qualifications in plant biology and natural resource management. In my daily work, I use mapping tools keep track of the conversion of forests to other uses hereby monitoring the evolution of forest cover in Cameroon.
What did you do with the JWH grant? I enrolled in a training center to build my skills in Geographic Information Systems to help CSOs use GIS to engage in advocacy.
What has the leadership development program brought you? Skills, networks, knowledge and leadership
What is your dream? My dream is to set up my own organization that offers mapping services for different uses and industries.
